Beautiful watercolor by the painter Louis Bonnot known as Lina Bill which represents an animated view of a gate of the ramparts of the City of Avignon, more precisely from the Porte du Rhône.
The Porte du Rhône is located in the direct vicinity of the Saint-Bénézet bridge facing the Rhône and the Barthelasse island. We see through this Door, as the artist shows us very well, the church of Notre Dame des Domes near the Palais des Papes.

Installed in Toulon in the early 1880s, he was a student of Vincent Courdouan.
In 1886, upon the birth of his daughter, he took the pseudonym Lina Bill in honor of his wife. And, he went to live in Avignon and continued his training with Paul Saïn.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes in 1888 and won numerous awards.
He is a member of the Group of Thirteen.

His works are kept in different museums. Nb: Reflections of the glass on the photos

Dimensions: 35 x 51 cm at sight without frame and 70.5 x 59.5 cm with its frame.
